Nordstrom sale and summer capsule wardrobe!!

Nordstrom Sale: So by now I am sure some of you have heard about the Nordstrom sale and some of you may be tired of hearing about it. It is by far one of my favorite sales of the year and I am looking very forward to it It is also one that gives me alot of work, but I am ok with that

Why is this sale a big deal: Nordstrom is going to be offering sale on new fall merchandise .that will be brand new to the store and online. You will be able to buy new fall clothing, shoes and booties, accessories and home decor that will only be available for a short time.

What you need to shop the sale: To be able to shop the sale early you will need a Nordstrom card and use that card on your purchase. . You can apply for a card here I know some of you may not like opening another credit card and I totally get that. I myself have the Nordstrom card and that is the only store credit card I use. If you do not want the card you will have to wait until the sale goes public and by then alot of things may be sold out. Things do sell out quickly so if you want something I recommend buying it immediately and return it if it does not work for you One thing I love about Nordstrom is there free shipping and free returns!!

How to prepare for the sale: I recommend preparing yourself by browsing the catalog. You can browse the catalog here. There will be everything from fall clothing, accessories, lounge wear and home decor. I also recommend looking through your closet and seeing what you need. I myself will be stocking up on basics, boots and jeans. I usually only allow myself one splurge item and like to only buy things that i know i will be able to wear in seasons to come.

Capsule Wardrobe: Ok this is a long time in coming. I am going to share a few pieces with you that you can mix and match to give yourself multiple outfits. I personally often only buy pieces i can see myself wearing multiple ways. Happy Shopping!! AmySauder

Off the shouder loving

Happy Monday!!  Hope life is treating you all well. I am spending the day at home with a sick child.  I love having a day at home, just not the sick part.  Would you also believe me if I told you that I just figured out how to read your comments that you guys have published on my blog.  Oops!!  Some days I will admit it takes me awhile.  So to all of you that have commented, I have read them and from now on I promise I will do my best to acknowledge you.  I was not ignoring you on purpose, I am just a little slow some days!!

Today's post is all about the this off the shoulder top. I love off the shoulder tops but I am also super picky about them. They have to stay in place or I will not wear them.  I recently got this one from PB&J Boutique.   This one defiantly stays in place and off course the stripes also caught my eye!! 

I paired it with my favorite new pair of denim that are amazingly super comfortable and very affordable.  I also wore this top with a pair of white distressed denim for a more neutral look.   You can shop the look below.

Favorite Spring Dresses

This past week has felt like spring around here and I am loving wearing dresses right now.   They are so easy to throw on and you can dress them up with sandals or wedges or down with a pair of flat sandals.  Dresses are perfect for spring and summer and I am very excited to live in them in the upcoming months!!   The one I am wearing here I recently purchased at Loft.   I love midi dresses and the stripes roped me in.  I am wearing a size small for reference.  Also don't mind my sunburned shoulders.  I went on a run yesterday and I believe it time to start wearing sunscreen when I run because I fried my shoulders.  You can shop this dress and several others below.  Have a great weekend!!

Green Skirt.

Happy almost weekend.   I love the weekends. This weekend my race season kicks off and I am super excited.  I will be running a 15k on Saturday with friends.

Today I am showing you two different ways I styled this maxiskirt.  I saw this skirt online and knew immediately I had to have it.  It is high wasted which is a win in my world.  It is very long so if you are short you may need some high heels.  I am 5' 6' and it hits the ground on me.  I am wearing a size medium for reference.    I wore it casually with a basic white tee and my Nike sneakers that I wear several times a week.  If you do not own a basic white tee I highly recommend buying one, you will wear it all the time.   I also dressed it up witha pair of heeled sandals and a striped tee.  If you don't know me by now you know I have a thing for stripes and ruffles.  So this tee also had to join my wardrobe.  I hope you have a great weekend.  You can shop the look below.

Spring Sandals

Happy Tuesday friends.   Today I am sharing with you some of my favorite sandals that will transition great into spring and summer.  If you are like me you are extremely excited to put the snow boots away and break out the sandals. The ones I am wearing here are from Target.  I love Target shoes.  I fell in love with these because of thelace up and the block heel.  They are amazingly comfortable and fit true to size.  They also come in black.  I am linking several others I have my eye on and that would be perfect for spring. 

As I sit here it is snowing and extremely windy.  It is not even fit to be outside . If you are getting snow today, I hope you enjoy.  I was suppose to work today but I was told I do not have to come in!!  Happy dance!!
